New to Yoga?
To start doing yoga, you don't have to be flexible nor any particular size. Yoga is something people of every age, size and health can enjoy. A yoga practice can range from extremely gentle to rigorous and experienced. When practicing yoga, your body is the real teacher, and it's important to begin wherever you are. I offering gentle flow (vinyasa) classes, guiding students to the degree that their body is comfortable.
What to bring to class
• yoga mat
• towel (optional, this is nice to have if you sweat a lot)
• Signed release form (for your first yoga class only)
Blocks and straps will be provided for those interested in using them in their practice.
Wear clothing that is comfortable and not constrictive when bending and twisting. Many of the spaces I teach in are generally warm, but not super hot. During the cold months long sleeves with a short-sleeve or tank-top layer underneath is recommended. Socks are often worn during the beginning and ending of class for warmth.
